ROLE: SOFTWARE ENGINEER

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Blink is an action-stealth game that focuses on short-distance teleportation. Explore the world as Iris, a professional saboteur that is subjected to extreme experiments, which give her the ability to teleport. As the experiment goes terribly wrong, and the facility is consumed in chaos and destruction, Iris must escape and take revenge on her captor.

Blink was developed in the Advanced Game Project course at the University of Southern California. The design and engineering teams were comprised of students from both the Computer Science Games and Interactive Media departments at USC, with the rest of the team coming from local art colleges and programs.


MY ROLE

Worked as a gameplay programmer and sole AI programmer. Developed a full behavior tree implementation in Unreal's UDK with Kismet based authoring of AI behaviors. Implemented most NPC logic - spawning, pathfinding, sensing, weapon/projectile system - and prototyped core gameplay systems early in the project.
